It’s about time I get a new watch.
I’m currently craving this white and rose gold piece from Premier Jewelry.
Lucky for me (or unlucky for my wallet), one of my Teacher Barbie friends is about to have a party.
I will be buying this one for summer!
What got me thinking about watches (other than the party) was a post from Meg at Across the Pond.
She mentioned that she never sets the correct time on her watches since they are just for fashion.
I have a similar issue. I don’t wear a watch for time telling reasons. I just like them as a chunky accessory.
My situation is a little different. I will set the watch to the correct time, but about a year or so later when the battery dies,
I do nothing about it. I continue to wear the dead watch. The ridiculous part of this is not that it doesn’t tell time, but
that I pretend to not know my watch is dead when people ask me the time. It usually goes something like this.
Person: What time is it?
Me: (Looks at watch) GASP! I am so sorry. I guess my battery is dead. Let me find my cell phone instead.
Yes people, I use my phone to tell time, not a watch and I lie about it. I don’t know why. I guess I am not part of the Candor faction (earlier book reference…sorry but I have been reading that book all weekend).
What kind of watches do you like? Chunky? Slender? Leather? Working? lol

That is so funny! I hate wearing watches! I stopped wearing one in 1995! I would get myself all worked up about maybe being late for work while commuting, I would make myself sick every morning. So I decided, since I still arrive to work on time every day even with my worrying, I don’t need to wear one anymore! I am much more happier for it! And I hate it swinging on my arm! LOL
